I can’t watch Brooklyn 99 because the guy who you have in a GIF above was previously — long ago — a serious cop in Homicide: Life On The Street, which was an amazing police drama set in Baltimore’s homicide division. Written by David Simon. Yes, *that* David Simon. H:LOTS was basically the precursor to The Wire, and just as good in many ways. Highly recommend you watch it, though it might make it hard to watch B99 again.
