You'd like to see examples of people producing gametes? Look around you: everyone you know and will ever meet has a body set up to produce one gamete or the other. If they're a normal adult (ie not a child, not a post-menopausal woman) they'll be generating gametes. Only one type of them. Not sperm and ova. Not sperm on weekdays and ova on the weekend. Just one of the two.
I think the onus falls on you to define how sex gamete production is on a spectrum. (Amount doesn't count.)
Also, you misspelled "biologists". They're the ones who "push" (potential) gamete production as the definition of sex.
